Some people want to stop withheld numbers from coming through to their business telephone service because they know they may receive unsolicited sales calls if they don’t. In somecases, you might want to block specific callers. Perhaps someone calls your business phone number to be abusive or to deliberately put you off what you are doing. If so, then you can use our Blacklist Callers service to block them and avoid taking calls from them altogether.

As such, you can make use of it if you want it or simply ignore it and allow all inbound calls to your business number to divert to your chosen phone number. It is worth knowing you can turn this service on and off as you require at any time if and when you start to receive nuisance calls to your service.
Simply sign in to your Online Dashboard and head to the ‘Block Callers’ section to turn the service on. By default, it will play an automated message to anyone calling from a withheld telephone number. This will tell them to hang up, remove the withheld number status and call you again. This way, you should always be able to receive a call from a genuine client who wants to speak to you even if they usually withhold their number for some reason.
Yes, there are. Some professional services will routinely withhold their number so that it is not possible to call them back on the same telephone number. Typically, GPs will do this so that you cannot save their direct line number, thereby forcing you to call back on the surgery switchboard number. Other public service providers often operate the same policy so you might miss calls to your business phone number from such organisations.
