Operate your Hunt Group with simultaneous ringing or call tripping
With Cleartone’s handy Hunt Group feature, you get a lot of functionality. To begin with, you can set it up to ring on up to four different phone lines simultaneously. This is a good idea if you know that sometimes you won’t be able to answer incoming calls on your mobile phone, perhaps because you are driving.
Instead, you can have the calls ring on two, three or four other phone lines at the same time as your main point of contact – ensuring that the call will be answered. This will work whether the call rings simultaneously on landlines or mobile phones no matter where they are. For sole traders, being able to have their mobile and landline ring at the same time is particularly useful, especially if they don’t know where they will be from one moment to the next.
Call tripping is a slightly different feature that you can use with the Hunt Group service. With this approach, not all the lines your callers will forward to will ring at the same time. Instead, if a call isn’t responded to by the first redirected line, it will stop ringing there and trip on to the next one. Again, up to four lines can be connected in this way. Callers will not realise they are being forwarded via your call tripping Hunt Group either.
The feature operates seamlessly in the background with no discernible difference to a normal inbound call. Importantly, you can switch between call tripping and simultaneous ringing any time you like via your secure online dashboard.
